Quitting With The E cigarette - The Easy Way Part 11
Hello to all of my readers and to all of you who have recently quit smoking. Of course, hello as well to all non- smokers, current smokers and those of you who would like to quit smoking. It has been a couple of months since I last wrote about quitting smoking using the e cigarette and I thought it was time to bring everyone up to date on my status as a new non-smoker.
Things have been going well. I have not touched a tobacco cigarette in several months now and I owe that to my determination to quit in combination with the e cigarette. I have no doubt in my mind that I would not have been successful if it were not for the e cigarette. The e cigarette got me over all the rough patches as I quit smoking and I really believe that without the electronic cigarette, I would have given up and gone back to smoking tobacco cigarettes.
When last I wrote about quitting smoking, in part 10, I mentioned that I had stopped using the e cigarette completely. Since then, I have actually gone back to using it, albeit only occasionally. We all have times in our life when we are subjected to stress and I am not immune. Until recently, when I was stressed, I lit up a tobacco cigarette. Now, when I am stressed, I take out my trusty e cigarette and take two or three drags on it. I use the weakest strength nicotine cartridge and I estimate I use it about five times a week. From 3 packs a day for forty years to 15 drags per week on an e cigarette is quite a major improvement as far as I am concerned.
Like so many other things in life, like food and alcohol, if you overdo it, it can be bad for you and smoking was no exception. Unlike food however, smoking is not necessary to our survival and it has no redeeming features other than to satisfy our addiction to nicotine. Now, on the rare occasion when life gets to me, instead of lighting up a tobacco cigarette, I take out my trusty e cigarette. It helps me over the hump and unlike tobacco, it doesn’t have the potential to kill me. I like the improvement.
The bottom line is that the e cigarette worked for me
I am tobacco free and I intend to stay that way. When things get stressful and the urge to smoke hits me, I have an alternative to smoking a cigarette that really works. If you are thinking about quitting, no matter how many times you may have failed in the past, keep trying. Get an electronic cigarette and use it to quit smoking. I hope you will have as much success as I have had using the e cigarette. Just stay positive and don’t give up, smoke a puff from the e cigarette here and there and you’ll be fine!
